Sensitive skin is naturally more fragile and reactive compared to normal skin. There can be several reasons for this.

Firstly, impairment of the barrier functions of the epidermis and dermis: reduced tolerance and, consequently, decreased ability to withstand irritating environmental factors. One manifestation of this is disturbance of the normal skin microbiome, which is one of the main factors of natural protection against bacteria that cause inflammation. Such reactions appear as a result of improper or insufficient skin care, or as a result of age-related changes.

Secondly, with low receptor sensitivity, the skin develops an excessive response to factors that usually do not cause specific reactions. This leads to inconsistent skin sensitivity. This may also result from altered barrier functions. Another cause may be altered receptor sensitivity to any substance or group of substances. Often, this reaction appears already in childhood. In such cases, normal concentrations of common substances can trigger skin reactions, up to and including active inflammation.

Thirdly, sensitivity may be associated with hyperexcitability of nerve endings or with hyperreactive brain signals. Stimulation of nerve endings can result from various factors: polluted environment, temperature changes, sun exposure, irritating products (soap, perfumes, etc.), age, heredity, hormones, medications, or medical procedures, as well as lifestyle (diet, alcohol, stress).

Method of application

• Apply 1.0–1.5 g of cream after lotion (if not using serum) or on top of serum;
• Help the cream absorb with gentle patting, do not rub;
• Use 1–2 times a day or more often (if necessary);
• Duration of use – until a clinical effect is achieved.

For professional use:

• Follow the procedure protocol;
• If necessary and upon the recommendation of a cosmetologist, the product may also be used for home care.
